On October 3, 2021, Riverside School was finally able to hold an official grand opening of the Knowledge Path. Students, families and community members were invited to explore the path and participate in various activities throughout the day. Special guests included Stephen Augustine, Hereditary Chief of the Mi'kmaq Grand Council; Cathy Montreuil, Deputy Minister, Education and Early Childhood Development; Amanda McDougall, Mayor of CBRM; and Brian Comer, local MLA.
